According to a circular issued by the university, all colleges have been directed to complete the admission process between August 4 and August 12, 2026. The extension has been granted in the interest of students and will provide another opportunity to those who have not yet completed the admission formalities.

The UGC has approved one-year postgraduate programmes for students completing four-year undergraduate degrees through distance and online modes. The move brings their academic progression in line with regular students under the NEP 2020 framework. Eligible institutions with existing approvals can now offer one-year PG courses to these graduates.

The Maharashtra CET Cell announced the first CAP allotment list for undergraduate agriculture courses, with 10,871 students securing seats for 2026-27. Of 18,993 students who submitted preferences, 3,147 received their first-choice colleges and were auto-frozen. Students must complete document verification and admission formalities between August 17 and 19, officials said.
