      I recently completed training in first-aid and intermediate CPR. During the training I could not help but think about the preventable MV Barima tragedy and how often I have seen persons experiencing life threatening conditions in Guyana and persons just standing watching on. No first-aid, no CPR, no nothing other than mere observation. This should compel Guyana to examine not only what went wrong, but what basic lifesaving capabilities we expect of the people entrusted with public safety....
