A British Army sailing crew found an exhausted barn owl 70 nautical miles from shore during the RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race. The bird fell into the sea three times before managing to reach their boat and collapsing on the deck. The sailors cared for the owl, named Little Regina, until a lifeboat took it back to land for treatment at a wildlife centre.
