At 1 p.m. today, the Lincoln County 911 center received calls of a small plane crash near Fort William Henry in Bristol. Units from Bristol Fire and Rescue, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Central Lincoln County Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

BRISTOL — Lincoln County Sheriffs Office has released the names of the people involved in a plane crash in Bristol on Aug. 20, 2026; one occupant succumbed at the scene. Two people were aboard a single-engine, two-seater Diamond Aircraft when it went down near Fort William Henry at approximately 1 p.m. The aircraft was reportedly en route to Knox County Regional Airport, in Owls Head, from Brunswick Airport.
