Maďarské úřady odvádějí vodu do Dunaje a kontrolovaně potápějí dva říční čluny ve snaze zvýšit kriticky nízkou hladinu řeky a zabránit dalšímu uzavření jaderné elektrárny Paks. Informoval o tom server Euronews. Úterý a středa budou pravděpodobně kritické, protože se předpokládá, že hladina Dunaje klesne o dalších 14 až 15 centimetrů. Situace by se však mohla začít zlepšovat od čtvrtka, kdy by srážky v rakouském povodí Dunaje měly začít hladinu řeky zvyšovat, píše Euronews.

Győző Orbán (85), majitel kamenolomu u obce Gánt a otec bývalého maďarského premiéra Viktora Orbána, nabídl kameny pro stavbu dnového prahu na Dunaji, který má pomoci zvednout hladinu řeky u jaderné elektrárny Paks. Nízká hladina Dunaje způsobila omezení výroby elektřiny v jediné maďarské jaderné elektrárně. Vodu z řeky zařízení potřebuje k chlazení reaktorů.

Maďarský premiér Péter Magyar (Tisza) ve středu večer oznámil, že jadernou elektrárnu Paks nebude potřeba odstavit a příští týden budou postupně zapojeny všechny turbíny. Vodohospodáři a armáda vybudovala u elektrárny dnový práh, který zvýšil hladinu Dunaje, jehož voda slouží ke chlazení reaktorů.
