A Kentucky appeals court has upheld a widow’s right to half of her late husband’s $2.33 million investment accounts, despite his children being named as beneficiaries. William E. Perrine died without a will in 2024. The court also ruled that his widow, Nancy, was entitled to half of $126,000 gifted to his children and grandchildren shortly before his death.
