The ECB could provide financial support to Cricket West Indies to ensure England’s women play a Test in the Caribbean next spring. The match is viewed as vital preparation for the 2027 Ashes, with England seeking more red-ball cricket. Despite CWI’s financial difficulties and recent cost-cutting measures, the Test and wider multi-format tour remain on schedule.
