MSRTC announced plans to make its entire bus fleet electric by 2037, with around 5,000 new diesel buses expected to be the last additions. Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik said the move was decided at the board meeting. The corporation currently operates around 14,000 buses, including nearly 1,100 electric buses, and will expand charging infrastructure across depots.
