Haagský tribunál odsoudil bývalého velitele Kosovské osvobozenecké armády (UÇK) a bývalého premiéra a prezidenta samostatného Kosova Hashima Thaçiho na 25 let za válečné zločiny. Podezření, že se jich UÇK a její vedení dopouštělo, přitom panovalo už na počátku nového tisíciletí.
